this blog first started out as a "hate you" letter to everyone who's brought me down lately. To everyone who's "given up", stole my ideas, to friends who weren't friends. I was angry, spiteful and I felt completely justified by the words I wrote. Despite the annoyance, anger, and unbelievable irritation I've felt for these certain people - I won't write my "hate you" letter. Initially, it makes me look just as bad as them - if not moreso. So instead, I'll swallow my irritation and push away the anger and leave myself with a justified feeling; pity.
I pity those of you who can't move on with their lives. To those of you who "use" others ideas and parade them around as your own. I pity the selfish people who claim themselves to be friends; when in all reality, this is not the case. My pity even extends to those who have hurt me - both mentally as well as psychically - for using someone else to use, hurt, and control. When all anger is pushed aside; all you're left with is my pity and your own guilt.
I felt the urge to stop writing here - to give up on writing my own story - so I could keep those that I pity "away" from me. I thought that if I were to stop writing, I could stop them from "seeing in" on my life. I won't.
I will not stop writing. Even if it's to tell absolutely no one that I had a good day.. or an incredibly bad one. I am free to write, think and feel whatever it is I wish to. And I will not let the pitied stop me.
Because I'm going to be somebody.

Royksopp - Remind Me
Will remind, will remind, will remind me,
Will remind, will remind, will remind me,
Will remind, will remind, will remind me,
Will remind, will remind, will remind me.
*
It's only been a week,
The rush of being home in rapid fading.
Prevailing to recall
What I was missing, all that time in England
Has sent me aimlessly,
On foot or by the help of transportation,
To knock on windows where
A friend no longer live, I had forgotten.
*
And everywhere I go,
There's always something to remind me
Of another place and time
Where love that traveled far had found me.
We stayed outside til two,
Waiting for the light to come back,
But hid in talk I knew,
Until you asked what I was thinking.
*
Brave men tell the truth,
A wise man's tools are analogies and puzzles,
A woman holds her tongue,
Knowing silence will speak for her.
So now I'll never know,
As you will only sleep beside me,
And everywhere I go...
*

Homeownership Blues
(This blog was written yesterday.) :)
I am writing this blog from the comfort of my own home. :D. Ahead of schedule. … Thing is, tomorrow, the 27th - I get highspeed. It’s already been postponed two weeks. If they don’t set it up tomorrow.. They’re dead! And that, is a promise. :D.
Updates!
We went sledding. Will and I got killer sled/disc type sleds and went sledding down the thamesville hill. Haha. It was the first time Will ever went sledding!. Needless to say, it was completely fun. Despite the ever-gruelling part of sledding (the walking back up the hill) he loved it. He even convinced me to go down it headfirst. Plus there was this huge ramp at the bottom - I ramped it goin’ like 20km/h seriously (maybe a bit over exaggerated - but still!) Long story short. Fast Samm on expensive smooth sled ramping snow ramp at fast speed = Samm in air 2 feet above sled, landing on bum. That happened Thursday or Friday.. Something like that.
We’re selling the dogs. Noel already went to a wonderful family in the Dresden area. With ever-mounting house bills.. We can’t afford the bajillion-dollar fencing that big dogs in town areas require. Thus meaning, we have to part with our babies. Noel is on a farm with an old german shepherd, a crazy cat, and a funny little Chihuahua dog. They fell in love with her, so we’re happy she’s in a good home.
The little boy is still up for sale on kijiji. We’re hoping someone takes interest in him soon… so he’s not stuck in his little kennel - whining and telling me how he day went when we come home. He’s a wonderful pup, just going to be too big.. And we’re living realistically. That’s the sad blog part. So let’s move on.
With selling the dogs.. We’ve realised that we need a (small) animal for our home. Willy is a big fan of ferrets - it was the perfect pet for his family, and initially.. The perfect family pet for ours. They can be caged and be fine with it.. They’re litter-trainable, tame, eccentric, bonded, easily handled… and really… who doesn’t want a ferret? After ferret’s are neutered and descented - they’re just your essentric little house cat… in a weasel looking body. :D. And the budgeting with ferrets is such a small expense - they eat a small amount.. Don’t require many vet visits.. And last up to 10 years on average. We’ll get a bonded pair, and see how it goes - but I have a lot of faith.
Willy has been such a little clumsy bum lately! He cut his thumb-tip when chopping French onions for our stew the other day. It was bloody, nerve-wracking and completely random. He never hurts himself… but he chomped off about 6 layers of skin with the tip of his finger nail with a very, very sharp kitchen aide knife. It’s gruesome, sorta… but it’s not something you’d necessarily have to go to the hospital for (unless you were me, of course. Granted, if it were me it probably would’ve been about 100 times worse. Somehow, I have the best luck.)
My deep fryer is broken now. God only knows how. We accidentally didn’t put the oil back into the tub after we filtered it (it’s this automatic du-hicky). Anyways… now that isn’t starting… and I’m seriously debating on stealing the floor model in the real Canadian superstore.
Sigh.

water - sink or swim.
gahg,.
there's always SOMETHING wrong in a new house.
especially since we didn't get the home inspection.
I was on a timeline here - so sue me. (it might be cheaper.)
We have the puppy.
He's a little wizzer.
there's mice/squirrels/SOMETHING chillin' out in my attic.
my highspeed is late.
the snowplow BLOCKS my driveway with snow everytime they do it.
(I'm talking like.. 4 feet of snow here.)
my water costs a BILLION DOLLARS. just to get rid of sulfur... and make it actually feel good on your skin. ><.
my phone goes fuzzy sometimes.
my plumbing needed fixing
my WELL/TANK/WHATEVER needs fixing/replacing
I STILL HAVE SULFUR WATER
and Noel is REBELING.
With all that I would've much rathered living with my mother... in her crumbling.. little mogular home with the mice... leaking pipes and....
well, I probably wouldn't wanna' live with her.
but atleast she has internet.
sob.
Tomorrow. We finally get the couch/dining room table.
We got one of our fireplaces today.. had a Culligan guy out... to tell me more sheat needs fixing..
talked to every pest control in the AREA.
and got my first "mail" from my little P.O. Box.
That was actually fun.
My camera is killer though.
so that's enough for me.
lates!

update-toolate.
has it really been this long since I've updated?
I used to live for the internet - now I'm struggling to even remember to check my emails. it's amazing how things change with a busy schedule.
update one? we have hard sulfur water. what that translates into is a horrid smell and having your skin dry out and get flakey. The solution? A Culligan whole-house water filter. That equals more money. But I need it. I'm literally so 'sensitive skinned' that when I wash my hands at my house, my hands look like they're breaking out in some horrible rash. The calcium in the water blocks my pores, makes me turn red, and slowly turns me into the flake machine of my street.
and we do not want that.
update 2? we got our little boy puppy!
he's adorable, 7 weeks today(a little younger than i planned initially, but oh well) and 100% pure german shepherd.
We got him yesterday morning - we're still debating on naming him some name like Duke, Jack or Jax. Or something entirely different. It's touch and go from this point - we might even just call him "Buddy" for all I care. The Little-Wittle-Monster would suffice aswell.
Noel is doing good too; although she doesn't really like her new kennel (it's too "open" for her.. but she's playful with the puppy - maybe even a bit too much so.)
update three. Today, via the wonderful guys at the UPS service, I was delivered my very amazing, very expensive Nikon D90 digital camera. I got it through Ebay as opposed to Future Shop - I got the camera, tripod, 2 additional lenses, a card reader, slave flash, uv filters... and everything else I can't even remember to list for under the price Future Shop was offering it for - what a deal! :D Needless to say, I am VERY happy with my recent Ebay purchase and will be updating my deviantart account - mugshot-baby.deviantart.com - with a bountiful amount of pictures.
update four. I GOT MY FRIDGE TODAY! This is something I never thought I'd be excited about in my life. But to those of you who own houses, or would like to, getting your fridge is a huge stepping stone to actually moving out. Now all I need is a washer/dryer and a stove. >.> I still don't have my couch or dining room table, but it IS in, we just have to go pay for the rest of each.. and have it delivered. :)
update five. I set up my entire surround sound system all by myself and I am PROUD!. It took me nearly 3 days of on and off wiring, and a bunch of time to move my entertainment set out and in all the time and a heckload of confusion.. but it is all hooked up, AMAZING, and 100% the biggest investment to sound I've made - aside from the 42" Sharp Aquos TV. :D
update random. I have my phone setup. My satelite.. and because of some stupid mess-up in the address... my highspeed has been knocked back 2 weeks. What sheaty service. On the 27th, I'll be hooked up with wireless highspeed - it's not some grand thing, but it'll do.
my pump freezed up today for my well water. so bad so I had to move this little ceramic heater into the pump house. I was SO relieved to hear the running water again - especially after having to fix all those pipes beforehand. Sigh!
Monday, Culligan is making a site visit to check my pump and etc. and install my system a few days later.
and next saturday, I get my king-sized bed fully delivered, fully installed and 100% comfortable.
And that, as far as I'm concerned, is it.
:)

the wonders of home ownership.
First off. I hate step stools. When you have to climb up and down one 196795873695761973098423 bajillion times, you learn to have a different opinion of it. Good news, though.. my entire dining room/living room is fully painted.. aswell as my soon-to-be "office". Throughout the day, I had a plumber come in aswell as a locksmith. And folks, I have experienced the wrath of a plumber's crack and the bills associated with said crack coming to my "new" house and re-routing all my plumbing. Now, I really didn't see the "Crack" - but I liked the pun. It should've been that bad - I would've gladly spent my afternoon trying to get that thought out of my head - but instead, I was left with a hefty bill.. and a partially done job. The bathroom sink had to be caulked underneath it (so the pipes could be ATTACHED). All in all.. I got an alright set of pipes running across my ceiling and an entirely new pipework system. The pressure is good, but the water is stinky - we have to run the gradient out. Needless to say, next time I'll just jump for the real Mario and Luigi to come to my house. Atleast their overalls would be cool looking.
Sigh. But the pipes had to be done one way or another - and better now than later.
Away from that pressing issue - the locksmith was pretty cool. He was a funny old guy who gave me a discount(by like 5 bucks or so - lol) - probably cause he was some lonely little man who liked me - atleast that's what the guys joked about.. <.<
As of right now - my legs are weak as heck and Willy and I had some weird power nap where we only slept 3 hours or so. Bed at 7:30.. up at 10:30. It's ridiculous! Now we're waiting to get tired again so we can pretend to sleep normally. Tomorrow, we're doing several big moving trips and tomorrow night, we're going to be building things like the computer desks - the tv stand and the hutch and anything else we need done. Plus we're painting the master (maybe) and the spare room. -.- After this, Painting is going to be blasphemy for me. There is no way someone could PAY me to climb up on that stepstool so many times again.. to tape and trim.
Well. Maybe.
Samm, Willy +
the little bugger who spills kibble EVERYWHERE.
(aka The Kibble Monster)
or Noel.
:D
or yoda ears..

painted subs.
I'll sum it up - cause I'm too exhausted to fully explain it in complete detail.
We got the keys at 3:30 - we went to the place.. dropped off things.
Picked up my friend Joe (aka Pounder, again) - brought him to my new little housey.. and he helped us prime everything in the entire place. It's so awesome in there!
But with new home ownership comes new fixes. Had to figure out where the main water valve was - that was fun. I had to plug in the pump.. then I turned on the main valve, the pump noise scared me when it turned on, I smacked my head on the pump house frame.. and then found a leak in the house. The plumber is coming tomorrow to fix that - but aside from everything else... the house is solid. We're still going to get a home inspector to tell us any additional info on the place.
Annnnd I'm bored of this.
Tomorrow, the plumber comes, the locksmith comes.. and we'll be gettin' my buddy again. =]
Actual painting starts tomorrow, too.
Sigh.
=]

cucumbers and chinese.
Today, was a good day.
A very ...-pause- .. stiff.. and chinese day.
A very ...-pause- .. stiff.. and chinese day.
As in the food.
Stiff faces.
Chinese food.
You get the idea.
But I shall go on!
Since I didn't blog yesterday, I'll just sum it up.
Storage bins
Salt and pepper shakers.
and a king sized bed. :D
plus some killer wireless surround sound for our awesome tv.

+ The Postman! (which we still have yet to watch!)
And I bought my house.

:D:D
Today, we got a bunch of little nic-nacs from Wal-Mart for the office and bathroom... a killer massage thingy-ma-doer, and some teeth whiteners! Consider that last one an experiment Will wanted to try... for some nice little pearly whites. Tomorrow, we're picking up all the paint for the rooms, and the day after - we move in! Wooo! Well. technically we still have to paint everything, have everything set up and all.. and then "move in". But by the 12th or a bit after, we'll be moved in, indefinatly - so anyone who doesn't know by that time is going to get a very surprising call from me. :)
And we've primped and primmed all night since we got in.
We exfoliated, rejuvenated, and clean & cleared. :)
Because I believe that we should look the best for our new house... afterall... I want it to like us as much as we like it. :D hahah.
It is nice to pamper yourself every once and a while.
Besides! It's fun!
Well, I mean
obviously.
Shopping again tomorrow.
Samm + Family, OUT!

tillsonburg.
=\ Loooong trip on this one. Tillsonburg, Ontario. 'bout hour and half plus to get to the little town of T-burg. =] We put a deposit down on our new little boy. He's sooo darling - calm, likes being held and is totally "chill". haha. (Isn't he just adorable? - sorry about the blurry picture, not my photo - it was the breeders.)
He's gunna be a cute little boy(he is already!). He's a purebred German Shepherd aswell - so Noel and him will be little lovers. hehe. We got Noel a new collar - and got her a new tag with her pretty little name written on it. She's so huge already. My big German Shepherd baby. =] She knows how to sit, shake a paw, and the peeing outside gig is currently at about 80% trained... and stay is still a 50/50 shot. Laydown has proven to be a tricky one, though... we're still working on that. After all of those are down pat, though, I'mma teach her how to fetch me a beer outta the fridge. :D Should be piece'o'cake. keheh.
After seeing the pups, though.. and picking out our little boy, we picked up KFC in a place called Alymer, and stopped in another town named West Lorne to visit an old friend named Joe (aka. Pounder). :D We seen his "new" place, played some Guitar Hero (I still rocked him), and watched some funny vids on youtube. It was nice seeing old faces in an old town. =] I stopped by the bank, and we came home - and thank god for my blog, or else I'd be talkin' my friend Nicole's ear off by now. :)
Tomorrow, more shopping. I have to call my lawyer aswell and get in there to pay for my darn house sometime before wednesday. I get the keys on Thursday the 8th. YAAY! :)
Then it's paint, paint, paint... and move in our new furniture - along with our 42" LCD tv.
:D
i love you, life.

Lifestyles of the Not-So-Famous.

So these, were our large purchases of today. Except the fireplace is in white(we have another one similar that we bought last week), and the piano is black framed(can't ever get good photos on the internet anymore). Out of the five stores we went to today, only 3 of them were open. It's saturday for pete sakes, everything should be open later I'd think. We also bought some T-Fal cooking stuff(pots/pans/skillets), cause it's trendy and very handy. :)
But let me introduce myself - since this is the first (technically) blog I've posted here. My name is Samantha McRitchie - Most call me Samm - I really don't care what you call me. :) My specialty is photography - but sometimes I even feel like I fall short in that category. I'm engaged to a wonderful guy named William(aka. Will Yum) who's my sarcastic "best friend". We talk about everything to eachother - and one day! He'll post here aswell. This is a joint-custody blog for himself and I - so we're hoping to make some fun out of this. :) Will owns a big white jeep that we cruise around in with the good ol' Georgia state licence plate on the back (because he's an american). :D And together, we own a happy little German Shepherd puppy (who just turned 13 weeks this past friday) named Noel. We'll be getting her a little "boyfriend" German Shepherd pup aswell, who we'll add to our family sometime thoughout the week of the 12th. :) I am also moving into my new home on the 8th - which is solely mine and fully paid off (thank gosh!) - but I'm sure I'll get more into that another time. For now though, Will and myself are playing a heckload of video games on our shiny new Xbox 360 and swapping in and out for the computer. We shop alot, and buy alot of nifty little gizmos. So far, we've been getting alot of matching things. Two of the same computers, two computer desks, two posturpedic chairs etc.etc. Furnishing an entire house is alot more work that I initially thought - and all the shopping days are completely tiring.
The days have their ups, though - like the other day when I got my new LG TU915 touch screen cell phone..

aswell as the day after - getting our TomTom GPS XL-1

and putting a down-payment on a leather couch, buying a rug, a large kennel for Noel, highheels - 3 awesome shirts from le chateau, some new shoes for Will, panties, tights! and some really good Wendy's.
It was a good day. :D Cause Wendy's is the bomb.Aswell, sorry to anyone reading all of this spam. I have really shitty friends in the area that I live in, so I don't have many people to talk to - but I'd rather just talk to Will or blog about it.
Soyanno!.
If you read this, you're crazy.
Listen to Hot n Cold by Katy Perry.
but that's just a suggestion.
;)
Samm, out!
