Lost in a City of Heroes.

Of course the title is a play-on-words. :D Of COURSE this blog is about the most amazing game on the planet - and of course, I'm talking about City of Heroes/Villains.
If you don't know this, already - City of Heroes, or as it's also known - City of Villains is a MMORPG. Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplay Game - in lament's terms... you control a character, design said character, make a description for them... earn "badges" (for defeating bosses, flying to the top of Atlas in Atlas park, or otherwise) in the game, earn cape unlocks, change your character at any of the tailor's at any time if you're unhappy with your look (though it will cost you some money!), and a range of other things. I could certainly go on about the endless amount of features this game provides for veteran players, players who wish to "PVP"(player vs. player), acolades, Supergroups, the amount of different powers (dark melee, fire melee to archery to blasters to claws to regeneration, willpower and the like) -I could just go ON forever.
Not to mention there's a bajillion players who play it, are active members and can help you beat the endless supply of missions you face and all the villains, archvillains, and ridiculous looking CPU Hero's you save.

In lament's terms, I'm hooked.
Especially when you when money from CC's (Costume Contests) held under atlas by random people from time to time. T'is what I've been doing lately with my main character, Skarlet Fever. :)

All of my characters to date, minus one - whom I just created last night. These are the girls!

The days in Independence Port - sunset/sunrise - I'm not sure which. :D This it the basis of playing... powers on the bottom right... chat screen on the left... nav, health/endurance and the little.... actions tab all on the top. This is Skarlet. :D

Same picture/time... just an idea of what it's like with the tabs on the bottom minimized. And Skarlet is sitting... of course. :D

Anyways. I could go on forever. But I won't. Most of the time you'll find me on Skarlet Fever in the Virtue Server... running around doin' missions, winnin' your local CC's, or havin' a good ol' sit around.
Look me up, if you play! :D

Samantha Lynn - Probable Pizza Girl?

Updates! :) I love these! Considering... well, you learn something about yours truly + my Willyum! :)

My belly is soooo fullll right now! We had quesadilas (sp?) for supper. It was killer good and I'm waay stuffed. Now I'm drinking Oasis jucie - did you know that a serving of 250ml of this stuff is equal to 2 servings of fruit? I'll tell ya' I was rather surprised when I found out that little tidbit!. I'm drinking Apple grape concord. Try some!

What's happened in the last week? Lessee.! UM. Gardening, Tree chopping, Shopping, Interviews, Sleeping, Jon & Kate! & Dusty ate a bug. =\

Gardening has been going over rather well. Needless to say, I haven't gotten too much done in the past few days. I still have to till the soil well, put down some good soil and plant my lilies, bleeding hearts and random other flower I picked out. :P

Obviously, I'm quite the garden gnome. I'm certainly no pro, but I really enjoy gardening. It's nifty. :)

Tree Chopping! Ugh. Where to start with this?. Well, let's start with the Wireless internet connection. Said connection is sent through a "dish" like object drilled into my house. When this gigantic Spruce Tree (Who I'll name Bruce[haha] for the sake of this blog) blows in the wind... it interupts my internet signal... therefore deeming me with no internet connection from time to time. Bruce is a giant tree that needs his limbs trimmed - so in laments terms, he needs to be taken down! So far, though... we've only been able to trim down his lower branches and buzz a bit through his trunk. My uncle always comes at the too-late-times.... so we can never get enough done.

This is Bruce, the Spruce. He's mostly bald.. The poor guy. What am I sayin?... He is comin' down.... one of these days!

A few shopping days yielded a garden hose, watering can.. more flower bulbs, a fish pond and groceries.

Today, though! Was my first real day of... real life! I went out for an interview in a local town. It's just a little food place, pizzas, mainly... but it's something. Hopefully, by the end of this week.. I'll have a jobs! A pizza girl, no less... but it's something, right? I'll be contacting the manager, who will be training me possibly; on wednesday. Hopefully all goes well. :) And also, today.. Season 3 of Jon & Kate came in that I ordered. :D

That's.. it?

oh. and Dusty ate a bug.

Obviously.

Todaay.

Today Willy and I slept in.
Made a new character each for our game and did house work outside. Until I got this increasingly horrible pain in my side and had to go in. =\
It's so nice out today, aswell! The weather's been the best that it has been in weeks and I'm totally waiting for the hurricane or something to crash through our town.
And I trimmed up Dusty's coat aswell - I've been meaning to for a few days now.. and although it's nothing drastic, he looks alot more trimmed up around his tummy and bum area. It was those areas in particular I wanted trimmed - they're so hard to wash fully!
And since I didn't update about it before - Willy and I already picked out and bought our wedding rings. They'll be ready for us in a few weeks. :D At which time, we'll be planning the inital steps into getting married - and getting Willy into Canada formally.

But that's about it, really.
We'll probably go to Home Depot tomorrow and get some gardening tools - and a power washer or something. :D
taa taaa. ! :) (L)

Ma'goodness.

I should update this thing more regularly - that way I don't flood you all with all the info going on in my life. :P Sooo! Where do I start? Haircut and dyed/Willy's Haircut/Renovations/Movies/My broken window?

Well I'll start firstly with saying a little apology for the last blog. What a horrible cliffhanger for a post - Mainly, folks, Will and I were going through potential problems with his citizenship.. and we initially thought that he'd have to go back down into the states. It was sad - and I don't want him to go. In lament's terms, it was a confusing, frustrating time. But now, all is great. :D

Renovations.

Willymeister mixing up the mortar - we ended up mixing it with our hands (with vinyl gloves on, of course! :P) But it was so fun and clumpy! hehe.

This is the clumpy mortar. hehe. In our Home Depot bucket. Thank god for that place! Mortar is alot darker than grout (this is a standard gray mortar, but it's very dark).

This is my play-by-play of our renovations on our front entry. :) You'll, of course, have to click on it to enlarge. First picture is plain - old tile was ripped up and floor was stripped of old mortar and grout - 2nd is the process, laying the mortar, spreading it and lining it with the trowel - then setting the tile ontop of it and measuring tile lengths. 3rd, and certainly not finished, the tile completely laid, set out to dry. Next, after the mortar cures (dries fully), we'll be grouting the top and then after that, sealing. Grout fills in the cracks and keeps everything hardened together, and sealer makes the cracks waterproof. :) It's pretty much a 3 day process - so we have to use our backdoor. :D
Speaking of that!

This is our newly fixed up back door. The door, originally, was just open and a full pane of glass. What we put over it was a thin film with the texture on it. We had to measure it out, wet down the glass, stick it to it perfectly, and trim off the excess. Can you even tell that there's two different ones there? The line is almost completely invisible!
Needless to say, it's alot better looking than the garbage bags we had up. I have this thing about open uncovered windows at night. Creepy!

Others! :)

Willy and I got hair cuts/dyes last Thursday I believe, aswell. It was nice to get a new fix-ups.. I felt pampered and I was happy! :) I got my hair dyed from black/red (the black was coming out and my natural red roots were coming out) to a darn reddish colour. :) It looks like dark brown when it's not in the light.. but it's a beautiful reddy colour when it's in it. :)

Willy bear got his hair cut and highlights, too! :) He's sexy now, I think. Well.. we always was - but now he's all trimmed up. :D His hair was long, shaggy and unstyled. Now it's short, choppy and has blonde highlights in it. Plus his new sunglasses are aaammmaazzing on him. :D I love you! :D <3

And apparently, my window broke.. somehow. It's the inside.. so it's not an act of vandalism or anything! It's a thermal pane.. it has two pieces of glass pushed together. The inside pane is broken and it's just.. ugh! ridiculous.! It'll cost me 1500$ to fix it, cause they just can't fix the one pane - they have to fix it all. And my insurance doesn't cover it.. unless it was an act of vandalism or damage from a tree limb or otherwise. Regardless, the window is fine right now (there's no cracks on the outside pane...) so it can stay broken until I get a job... that way all my money isn't goin' to sheeeaat. And obviously, I don't have a picture of it... >< I didn't wanna uncover the thing and look at that again. grrr!

This was the view out of my kitchen window this morning when I woke up. I thought it was pretty.. and definatly a nice start to my day. :D
Gooodday all!

Wee Ol' Yorkie

Since I've found that there are more people viewing my blog than I initially thought, I'll start keeping up with my writing.

Deviantart has been a total bore. Of course you can find me there at http://mugshot-baby.deviantart.com/ - My specialty is photography, of course - but you'll find me do the occasional photo manipulation once in a while. I've been meaning to get outside with my camera, but being in town and being a wack sleep schedule, it's a wee bit hard. :P

Facebook is utter bull. I had some 350+ friends on there and I deleted everyone I didn't know/didn't talk to/or didn't like and now I'm down to like.. 60? It's ridiculous. Like I really want Sally Sue from Kilamazoo seein' what I'm doin' lately. (Not a literal person, but a good idea what I mean.) Facebook "connects you to friends" and everyone else you don't like/that doesn't like you. It seems rather silly. And of course, you can find me there by searching Samm McRitchie. I'm canadian, of course. :) Seems hypocritical that I'm offering up my name here when I just stated that the whole facebook business is silly - but obviously, you've read this far so I'm sure you're not about to waste my time with a senseless ad just to 'not' talk to me. Either that, or you're a creeper - and that's ucky.

And I'm certain you can find me on a number of other sites from when I was younger (and a few I still visit daily)- Myyearbook, various freeweb sites, neopets and a few others. My handle is mainly Mugshot-Baby - Seeing as it started as an artsite thing. :P

Me wee lil' Yorkie is doing fine, aswell. He's still not on a regular eating basis - but we're hoping he gets on track with that. He also tries to "mark" his scent all over my house - which I am not happy with! Silly little doggie needs to get his housebreaking back on schedule. We're very happy with him in all other aspects, though. He's quiet in his kennel when we sleep - he doesn't mess in that whatsoever - he doesn't chew or bark at things senselessly. He's a wonderful little lap dog when it comes to brushing him.. and all in all, he's the best little guy I could've ask for. I still have to get his papers all switched over into my name, but that shouldn't take too long - I mainly have to call and let them know - and get a signed document from Deb - his previous owner (stating that I purchased him off of her) so I'll have to do that sometime today. We'll be taking him to the groomers, I believe.. sometime shortly. I've called a few places in the area, and I'll be taking him in one of two places - though I'm not sure which, yet. I love his long hair, but a trim would do him nicely.. and that way he'll be a bit easier to brush. :)

The renovations are still coming very slow. We have to go to my mom's house every few days to shower since we don't have a tub! lol! And the entryway tile is still all ripped up. We were going to get it done the other night, but found that we didn't have enough grout yet - so we'll be going into Chatham to get more of that sometime soon. Hopefully I can get someone in here like Bath Fitter in fix my bathroom for me - that'd be such a huge help. But we shall see, non? :)

Annnnnd. Aside from all of that, there's really not much going on. I put in a few resumes in a local town, and in my own - so I hope I'll be getting some kind of reply sometime shortly. I need the job - need to pay for bills now! =|

Ta Ta. :D

Dusty - Updates.

This, is Dusty. Dusty is a 2 year old Yorkshire Terrier. We got him from a wonderful lady named Deb in Blenheim, Ontario. He's a wonderful little boy who's registered, microchipped, has a pedigree lineage and an overall spunky little attitude. He is our newest member of our family. :) We got him today (technically yesterday!- the 28th) and we couldn't be more thrilled! We're so excited to include him in all of our daily activities. Being a little dog, it's alot less expensive than fencing a huge yard for a large breed dog. We're pulling our budget up and we're hopefully going to be fencing our back yard (1/4th of it) - so Dusty can atleast have a good area to run in. Now we just need him to get back on track with his housetraining - cause he's only been here a day (and isn't used to the place, whatsoever!). We love him! (L)

I cooked my first turkey the other day, too! :) I stuffed that poor bird till it was dead. (haha.) It was an amazing meal - healthy (for the most part) and now I have turkey for days. :P

Tomorrow - we're going shopping, again and getting things for Dusty and junk we need for fixing this darn house. =\

That is all. :)
