Well I'll start firstly with saying a little apology for the last blog. What a horrible cliffhanger for a post - Mainly, folks, Will and I were going through potential problems with his citizenship.. and we initially thought that he'd have to go back down into the states. It was sad - and I don't want him to go. In lament's terms, it was a confusing, frustrating time. But now, all is great. :D
Renovations.
Willymeister mixing up the mortar - we ended up mixing it with our hands (with vinyl gloves on, of course! :P) But it was so fun and clumpy! hehe.
This is the clumpy mortar. hehe. In our Home Depot bucket. Thank god for that place! Mortar is alot darker than grout (this is a standard gray mortar, but it's very dark).
This is my play-by-play of our renovations on our front entry. :) You'll, of course, have to click on it to enlarge. First picture is plain - old tile was ripped up and floor was stripped of old mortar and grout - 2nd is the process, laying the mortar, spreading it and lining it with the trowel - then setting the tile ontop of it and measuring tile lengths. 3rd, and certainly not finished, the tile completely laid, set out to dry. Next, after the mortar cures (dries fully), we'll be grouting the top and then after that, sealing. Grout fills in the cracks and keeps everything hardened together, and sealer makes the cracks waterproof. :) It's pretty much a 3 day process - so we have to use our backdoor. :DSpeaking of that!

This is our newly fixed up back door. The door, originally, was just open and a full pane of glass. What we put over it was a thin film with the texture on it. We had to measure it out, wet down the glass, stick it to it perfectly, and trim off the excess. Can you even tell that there's two different ones there? The line is almost completely invisible!
Needless to say, it's alot better looking than the garbage bags we had up. I have this thing about open uncovered windows at night. Creepy!
Others! :)
Willy and I got hair cuts/dyes last Thursday I believe, aswell. It was nice to get a new fix-ups.. I felt pampered and I was happy! :) I got my hair dyed from black/red (the black was coming out and my natural red roots were coming out) to a darn reddish colour. :) It looks like dark brown when it's not in the light.. but it's a beautiful reddy colour when it's in it. :)
Willy bear got his hair cut and highlights, too! :) He's sexy now, I think. Well.. we always was - but now he's all trimmed up. :D His hair was long, shaggy and unstyled. Now it's short, choppy and has blonde highlights in it. Plus his new sunglasses are aaammmaazzing on him. :D I love you! :D <3And apparently, my window broke.. somehow. It's the inside.. so it's not an act of vandalism or anything! It's a thermal pane.. it has two pieces of glass pushed together. The inside pane is broken and it's just.. ugh! ridiculous.! It'll cost me 1500$ to fix it, cause they just can't fix the one pane - they have to fix it all. And my insurance doesn't cover it.. unless it was an act of vandalism or damage from a tree limb or otherwise. Regardless, the window is fine right now (there's no cracks on the outside pane...) so it can stay broken until I get a job... that way all my money isn't goin' to sheeeaat. And obviously, I don't have a picture of it... >< I didn't wanna uncover the thing and look at that again. grrr!

This was the view out of my kitchen window this morning when I woke up. I thought it was pretty.. and definatly a nice start to my day. :D
Gooodday all!
